Fun in the Snow!

We got our first snow storm of the season and what a storm it was. It dumped 8+ inches in a matter of a few short hours. I think that total is more snow than we got all winter last year. Of course McKenna was itching to go outside and play. She LOVES LOVES LOVES the snow...to the point where you have to carry her in kicking and screaming because you know she will turn into a Popsicle if she stays out there any longer. Luckily we were suited up well for the outing thanks to McKenna's Aunt's Dor and Dar who had just given her, her snowsuit and boots for her Christmas present.

Holiday Party at Westerly Hospital

My brother works for the Westerly Hospital and informed us that Santa would be there to visit with all of his friends and was going to ready a story to all the boys and girls. It sounded like great fun, of course the bummer was that I had to work. So wonderful Nonnie, packed the girls up and took them down to visit Santa and his friends. McKenna isn't so keen on Santa but absolutely loved the reindeer....so much so, it appeared that she was stalking him...LOL.

Checking out the lights

Some relative's of ours always do an eleborate display of lights and decorations. This year has been the best yet...they even have a path so you can walk in and check everything out. McKenna was in absolute amazement. Of course my battery died so I only got a few pictures...we had lots of fun and McKenna didn't want to leave.

There is always more...sigh

So right now I am in a mad dash to get all of my holiday chores done. I have spent the last two days doing my Christmas cards, we are putting up the tree on Sunday and I have to get everything wrapped by Sunday night too...why you ask? Because my pregnancy with Landree is still trying to kill me!!! I swear I have not met a single other person who has had more issues than me...especially non pregnancy related ones. Really the only pregnancy related issue I had was the gestational diabetes. The crazy rash, well that was just some crappy weird timing. Anyway, I got an IV for re hydration back in July after one of my many bouts of being ill, at that time I told the nurse my IV hurt, but it was not infiltrated and she told me it was fine. It got to the point where I told them I was feeling better just so they would take it out. Well ever since then I have had issues with my veins in that hand, they get very swollen and hurt. My Dr. said it was just phlebitis and to put heat on it...ummm 5 months later, they still hurt and are even worse. So I go back to the Dr. and they give me an answer...they have no clue what is going on...great answer hunh. But they referred me to a vascular surgeon. I saw her yesterday, and she wants to cut it open. Fun hunh! Especially because I am right handed...so Monday I go back for an in office procedure where they will cut it open, drain some of the blood build up and try to figure out why it is happening. Luckily I won't have to be out of work, it will just put a damper on my mobility in that hand...especially when it comes to wiping my butt...LOL

Christmas Portraits

We took the girls to get their Christmas pictures taken last night. They came out okay but they could have been better. The photographer we had was not as good working with kids as ones that we have had in the past. This is deffinitly a busy time for us due to the holidays and my return to work so I am sorry that I haven't been posting as often...I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Visit with Family

My Grandmother and my Uncle are out visiting from Michigan. They came out to help my mom out with a few things and to spend Thanksgiving with us. It has been wonderful to have them here. Living 800 miles and a 14 hour drive apart makes our visits few and far in between. McKenna has greatly enjoyed playing with Uncle Howie and I was so very happy to introduce my Grandmother to her newest Great Grandchild. Time is short and you never know when you may see one another again so we tried to spend as much time together as we could.

Playing in the leaves!

Jake had the day off yesterday and we desperately needed to clean up the leaves in our yard. Luckily the weather cooperated and it was a beautiful day. McKenna enjoyed jumping and playing in them and I of course couldn't pass up a wonderful photo opportunity so I bundled Landree up and let her join in the fun too.

Last class of tumble tots....for now

Today was McKenna's last tumble tots class for this session. They invited everyone to come and take pictures as they got ribbons at the end of class. It was a treat for Nanna too, as Dad was McKenna's helper and she got to sit back and watch.
